Patricia A. Starr, C.N. has been practicing as a Clinical Nutritionist for over fifteen years. She graduated from Stanford University in l960 with a Batchelor’s Degree and completed one year of graduate studies in Stanford’s graduate program. Additional training includes a Batchelor’s of Science Degree from the American College of Nutripathy, a degree in massage therapy from the Myomassology Institute of Ann Arbor and certificate from the International Institute of Reflexology.

For four years Patricia owned and managed a natural food store in Paonia, Colorado, during the 70’s. Realizing the importance of healthy soil in the restoration and maintenance of health, she sold her business to go into organic fruit growing. Years later she returned to the natural food business as an assistant manager of the New Hampton Natural Food Store in New Hampshire from l981 to l982.

Deepening her interest in nutrition, she crossed paths with Dr. Richard Murray, known as the Dean of Clinical Nutrition, in l981 and attended his professional training seminars regularly. For 12 years she studied and consulted closely with him until his death in l996.

Today Ms. Starr maintains an active practice as a Clinical Nutritionist in Hotchkiss, Colorado.
 
Richard P. Murray, D.C. was known internationally as the Dean of Clinical Nutrition. He studied chiropractic at Cleveland Chiropractic College and Texas Chiropractic College. While in his successful general practice in Missouri for l8 years, Dr. Murray served eight years as a surgical and obstetrical assistant in a general hospital and was appointed Director of Research for a biochemical research corporation, writing patents and processing biochemical remedies through FDA
investigational phases.

Relocating to Florida, his renown continued to grow until he reitired in l984 after more than 30 years of active clinical practice. During this period he seved several years as the Executive Director of the Florida Chiropractic Association and functioned as a writer and Director of Clinical Research for the Biomedical Health Foundation.

Dr. Murray spent the last decade of his life doing research, writing and
consulting, primarily with physicians worldwide. He presented seminars for continuing education license renewal in almost every state in the U.S. and taught two sections for the Diplomate in Nutrition course at the Parker College of Chiropractic. Lecture tours took him to Belgium, England, Scotland and Ireland. He also served as an Adjunct Faculty Member for postgraduate studies at the Texas Chiropractic College and was a regular writer for the Institute of Practical Biochemistry.

Dr. Murray passed away in l996 from complications involving a freak accident several years earlier in which he lost a leg.
